Day 53 of the Deep Cold, 3E 1181

I, Emperor Avan Capewell II, formally announce a declaration of war against the kingdom of Granthel. Their ways of dishonesty, treachery, and of plotting against us will no longer be tolerated. For many generations, Granthel has taken the liberty of thieving lands rightfully ours and peoples originally of Alenthyl. They insult the Light itself, and its children of Alenthyl. We have strived for eons on faith and hardships alone, and we see it fit to take back the lands back that were stolen from us by these infidels.

The so-called ruler of Granthel, who rightfully ought to be a vassal of Alenthyl, Aloth Wrenne, is a crawling snake that is constantly gnawing at our ankles. The Wrennes claim that our ways are evil, but nothing is more evil than the unjustifyable acts against Light and humanity that they bring forth amongst the Faithlands. They mock our ways, our existance, and even go as far as to steal from our very hands. No longer will such crimes go unpunished. Today, war begins. Tomorrow, Granthel falls.

Signed,
The Emperor of Alenthyl
Avangantamos Capewell II

The Pontiff of Alenthyl

  • After backing the Kingdom of Novania and expending a large amount of resources to reclaim Deurlyth, invading Alenthylian forces within Granthel are left with little resources, allowing defending forces to counter the ongoing attack and remove the invaders from the mainland, forcing the two into an uncertain stalemate.
