Before becoming the Dukes of the Arbor, House Morrigan was all but unknown, being a family that primarily focused in a small lumbering and mining company. Despite this, however, House Morrigan is one of the few small Houses that has remained solely in the Arbor.
History[edit | edit source]
In 809 of the Third Era, a large fire raged throughout the Arbor, consuming the capital city and Duke's estate. The fire was devastating and destroyed large amounts of wealth. Benjamin Morrigan, however, owned a large amount of lumber and a small amount of wealth. The man assisted greatly in the reconstruction and as such, as knighted. He took a sigil and name of his own, and established House Morrigan.
In the years that followed, House Morrigan remained as a simple lumbering family, making a small amount of wealth trading their lumber and mined goods. They had little significance, until Emperor Avangantamos Capewell II gave House Morrigan the Duchy of the Arbor. This was because most families that held the Arbor had no desire to keep it, and the Emperor saw that House Morrigan was one of the only families to remain there.
Significance[edit | edit source]
The only significance House Morrigan had before becoming Duke of the Arbor was gained by selling lumber to important people or noblemen. Their significance was negligible, at best. Recently, however, since becoming Duke of the Arbor, they have grown in significance and power, though only slightly. Now, their House name is well-known, albeit disliked and disrespected.
Relationships[edit | edit source]
House Morrigan remains outwardly neutral to other Houses, having no allies or enemies. However, most other Houses look down on House Morrigan, seeing them as weak and unimportant - aided greatly by the spineless head of the House, Simon Morrigan.
